Tips and tricks:

For low absorbency materials:

For low absorbency materials (e.g. metal or glass) it's best to wipe both down with a damp cloth immediately before applying Pattex 100% Construction adhesives. You only need a relatively thin layer of glue on one surface.

For high absorbency materials:

Highly porous materials with high absorbency (e.g. wood), on the other hand, need more adhesive.

Using with paint:

Pattex 100% construction adhesive can be used with painted surfaces and has no problems with acrylic paints, DD lacquers (polyurethane-varnishes) and alkyd resin varnishes. However, Pattex 100% construction adhesive is not compatible with one-component PU paints.

Step by step

Before gluing, check that the surfaces to be joined are free of grease and dust. Vacuuming the surfaces is a good idea. Old adhesive and sealant residues should also be removed, and paint coatings that aren't properly adhered. To protect adjoining areas, simply mask them off with films or adhesive tapes.

1. Spread the bonding in lines so that air supply while curing and a high initial tack is guaranteed.

2. Position the material to be joined.

3. Seal: apply even and smoothly

4. Final resistance after 24 hours!

For the best bonds with Pattex 100% bond&seal adhesive check which sort of materials you want to glue. The best curing results are achieved after leaving the glue to dry for at least 24 hours. How much glue you need depends on how absorbent the substrate is.
